How to Subscribe

To subscribe to Wasel Prepaid Mobile Service, you can apply:

 

1- Via Etisalat Online Services
2- Visit your nearest Etisalat Business/Service center.
3- Visit your nearest Etisalat Retail Outlets.


Documents Required

Please bring the following documents when applying for the service:

UAE National:

  • Valid Passport and a true copy thereof or any other positive identification.

 

GCC National:

  • Valid Passport copy and proof of stay in the UAE.

 

Expatriates:

  • Valid Visa and Valid Passport and a true copy thereof.


Specification Details

Local Off-Peak Rate Timings
  • All week: Between 2pm to 4pm and 12pm midnight to 7am
  • All day on National Public holidays declared by Federal Government

International Off-Peak Rate Timings

  • Saturday to Thursday: Between 9pm to 7am
  • All day on Fridays until 7am Saturday
  • All day on National Public holidays declared by Federal Government.

 

There are additional two hours of International Off-Peak Rate timings. These timings are:

  • Saturday to Thursday: Between 2pm and 4pm, for all the countries East to UAE
  • Saturday to Thursday: Between 7am and 9am, for all the countries West to UAE

 

Note: Off-Peak Rates are not applicable to holidays declared by the Local Government nor to unscheduled holidays declared for mourning.


Topping up your Wasel Account (Inside the UAE)

Topping up your Wasel account is easy; you can use any of the following way to top up your account.

 

1- Use a Prepaid Calling Card/eVoucher: Dial 120 followed by the 14 digit card number (on your Prepaid Calling Card/eVoucher) and press Send on your mobile.

2- Use the Etisalat website: Top up your Wasel account through Etisalat Online Services from our website. Click here to login.

3-Use a Public Payment Machine: Etisalat Public Payment Machines are located in all the regions of UAE. You can easily top up your Wasel account with the minimum credit of AED50 or above.

4- Visit your nearest Etisalat Business/Service Center: Visit any Etisalat Business/Service center and top up your Wasel account with the minimum credit of AED50 or above.

Topping up Your Wasel Account (Outside the UAE)

If you are abroad and run out of credit, don’t worry. You can simply use Etisalat Prepaid Calling Card as follows:

  • Dial *120* prepaid calling card no. # followed by send key.

 

As soon as your account is in credit, you can make and receive calls.

Renewing Your Wasel Subscription for AED50 only

Renew your Wasel subscription for AED50 only and enjoy AED25 as free credit to be added to your account immediately.

  • To renew your Wasel subscription, please call 122 from your mobile or through our web site www.etisalat.ae/online
  • The free credit can be used for international/local voice call and sms only.
  • The free credit is valid for 90 days. To check your credit balance, please dial *121*8#
  • To be eligible to get the free credit, please choose the Yearly Renewal option. This free credit will be granted only on the first time renewal during the year.

Checking Your Wasel Balance

You can simply check and know your Wasel credit balance, whether you are inside the UAE or while roaming abroad,  by dialing *121# followed by send key free of charge.

Auto-Renewing Your Wasel Subscription

You can automatically renew your wasel account easily, and with a more flexible and convenient way, using our Auto-Renewal service free of charge by calling 122. You simply have to keep the account renewal charges i.e. AED 50 available in your account balance on the renewal due date. The system will automatically deduct the renewal fee from the credit balance and then gives you the new validity period.

If at the due date the renewal charges were not available in your credit balance you will be granted a grace period of 3 months, during which you can simply renew your wasel account by recharging with enough credit to cover the renewal charges.

Note: To check the expiry date of your Wasel subscription, dial *122*2#.


Wasel migration to postpaid

As a Wasel customer, you can migrate to GSM postpaid line - free of charge. All what you need to do is to call 101 from your mobile or visit any Etisalat Business/Service Center.


Reactiviting your Wasel Account
If you did not renew your Wasel account on time i.e.; (on the due date), the grace period passed and the account was totally deactivated; this means that you can’t make or receive calls, don’t worry! You can still ractivate your Wasel account by visiting nearest Etisalat Business/Service Center and benefit from using the same number.
